Sebastian Dabovitch: “Christ can never be indifferent …to whether his friends and acquaintances continue in error.”

“If you think what a man believes is “all the same” provided he is convinced that it is the truth you are mistaken! Why did God send His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, into the world if mankind could be saved without Him? Christ commanded the Apostles and their successors to convert the world to Christianity but not to that vague type of Christianity which we find in the numerous denominations which call themselves Christian but are indifferent to His One Church; the “pillar and ground of the truth” against which gates of hell can never prevail! He who believes in these words of Christ can never be indifferent to which Church he belongs nor can he be indifferent to whether his friends and acquaintances continue in error.”

– Saint Sebastian (Dabovitch) of America
