So I went to the Apple Store here in the Stockholm area (Täby Centrum) for a presentation of what they offer to businesses. It was a good visit. Not only was I impressed with the store itself, I was really impressed with the staff. The two young men I met were not only courteous and professional, but very knowledgeable. That’s the trifecta in the IT Customer Service world if you ask me.
Anyway, I came across something I probably heard of before but never paid much attention to, since I’m sort of an experienced IT geek who likes doing things at my own pace. What I’m referring to is Apple’s One To One. One to One is a program that allows you up to one hour of uninterrupted training from an Apple Trainer on the topic of your choice. Would you like to learn more about your Mac? This is the program. Want to learn about Logic Pro? This is the program. Pages. Yep. This too. Pretty much any app for your Apple device or the device itself can be used for a One to One session. And if you have the time to do it multiple times a week, you can book a time and go there. If you ask me that’s a pretty nice deal.
The Apple site says you can only book at the time of purchasing a new Mac at one of their retail stores or online, but I’m wondering if that’s not something they’d be willing to be a bit more flexible on. Especially since it costs $99/899kr. If you’re seriously interested you should probably visit an Apple retail store and see what they say. If you do, please let me know how it turns out for you.
